EXECUTIVE OVERVIEW
‘Executive Functions’ are frequently listed as a fundamental problem with all survivors. ‘Executive Functions’ is an umbrella term for the management of cognitive processes, including working memory, reasoning, task flexibility, problem solving, as well as planning and undertaking.
The attitude of the survivor is paramount initially. How they have reacted to adversity prior to their brain injury may very well be indicative of how they will respond to having a brain injury and all the adverse complicated situations that follow.
